The beads you see here are
handcrafted by me in my studio and, boy, did I have fun making them! Enjoy
browsing, and please let me know what you think!
This page has become a bit of a "cobweb" LOL.
Life reared it's head and lead me in different directions a year ago. I
have taken a break from bead making but will get back to it soon. Thanks
so much for all of you wonderful emails, they always make my day.
I do have to share a picture of the latest additions
to my family, Roscoe a greyhound we adopted last year and the beautiful Abbie we
adopted 2 weeks ago from the Greyhound rescue. They have so much fun
together :D.

And what's cuter than a dog who loves belly rubs? I can't think of
anything, myself. :-)

See you soon!
Gina
Two new auctions today:

And a matching Focal bead!

I'm baaaaack! Sorry it has taken me so long to get some
beads up. It is HOT HOT HOT here in Texas! Even with the a/c in my
studio, in the afternoons it is just way too hot to work. I'm doing a
little bit here and there in the mornings until I just can't stand it. Is
it time for fall yet? Please?!
2 new auctions:

and for something a little different....

I'm back from Kansas City and the Gathering. I had so much
fun! I learned so much, met some incredible people and saw the most
awesome beads! I spent a fortune buying beads and they were so worth it!
I'll take a picture soon to show you my loot.
The best news is that I bought some awesome new glass and a new
torch! It is a
Bethlehem
Betta Bead Burner. It is so cool...well I guess that would be HOT.
It seems to be hotter with one Oxygen Concentrator than my Minor was with 2
concentrators. I think it may even be hotter than the Minor on tanked
oxygen. I have been playing around with some large focals and it is so
nice not to have to wait an eternity for the glass to melt.

I may have an auction ready later this week but I did some
trading at the Gathering and owe some sets to a few of my buddies. Would
you like to see the awesome beads I traded for?
Howdy! I'm sorry I've been MIA for a bit. I spent a
week redesigning the CattWalk
web site which was so much fun. Now, I'm busily making beads for myself to
wear to the ISGB Gathering in Kansas City next week. I've decided to put
ebay on hold until I return July 24th so that I can spend time making beads to
trade with my lampwork buddies and getting ready for the show. I'm so
excited! This will be my first Gathering. I am so looking forward to
meeting all of the lampworkers I've met online and making new friends.
There will be lectures and demonstrations, the glass and tool venders will all
be there so I'm sure I'm going to spend a small fortune and come home with all
kinds of goodies but, most importantly, inspiration for fun new beads.
I'll be sure to take lots of pictures to share with you and I'll have to show
off my "loot" when I get home. Stay tuned my beady friends!

a little later... They're up!
"Scarlett" is a bold set in shades of crimson and cream. After the
first bead, I kept hearing that Tommy James & the Shondells song
...Crimson and clover, over and over...

Good morning! I just pulled a really pretty set out of the
kiln. I'm going to clean the beads, snap some pictures and should
have an auction up in a few hours. Check back soon! |

"Hannah" is a lovely set in shades of caramel and cream. I used Effetre
glass with a base of Opal Yellow encased with Light Amber. I scrolled
hand pulled vine cane under the Opal Yellow blooms. I had a hard time
deciding whether to etch these beads or not. I did softly etch the
spacers. As to etching the rest, I'll leave that up to highest bidder to
decide…free of charge, of course.

I love this set! Thank you Lynn Larson for giving me the color
combination suggestion! The base bead is Effetre Red Roof Tile which
looks like wet terra cotta. I've scrolled on hand-pulled vine cane under
the Opal Yellow blossoms. Nice warm colors that are popular all year
long. I've included 2 round beads perfect for earrings. |

I'm going to have more beads to show you tomorrow but to
tide you over, I thought I'd share a picture of my beautiful
orchid...the blooms will last for several months!

Hi everyone, I just listed 2 new auctions and one is a
non-floral round set! Oh my! |

Are you all having a nice relaxing weekend? I'm a
klutz this weekend ;-). I was watering the lawn and tripped over
my landscape bricks and scrapped up my let quite nicely. Ouch!
Note to self: Never walk backwards in the yard or horror
movies...you'll always run in to something nasty. LOL
I've had several requests to make some smaller sets so
here is a set of 5 pillows - perfect for a bracelet. This set was wound
from Lauscha purple with trailing hand pulled vines and Kugler
Passionate Pink blooms. I almost didn't list this set because the vines
didn't turn out as I had envisioned as the purple glass reacted with
them in places. I had several friends tell me that they really liked
them and that just because it wasn't what I was expecting that they
looked great and maybe even more realistic. So here they are - you can
decide.

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend!
I'm planning on being lazy with a capital "L"!
New auction: This is a bright and festive set of
Puffy Pillows wound from the new Kugler Passionate Pink as a base, hand
pulled vine cane and Tequila Sunrise Coral blooms. As my friend Kaye
Husko would say, these are "Vacation" beads because of their hot
tropical colors. Can't you just see Carmen Miranda wearing them along
with her fruity headdress?

I just started a new auction. This bicone focal
bead has a black base covered in roses, wrapped in a layer of crystal
clear and then topped off with floating white flowers.

I just started a new auction. This set of Bicones
has a base of Effetre Sunny Mango with hand-pulled trailing vines and
Opal Yellow blossoms.

I've just started 2 new auctions! One is a 5 day and the other is
a 3 day so that they won't interfere with the holiday weekend. Are
you getting tired of florals yet? I hope not! :-)
I am having
such a great time working with my new Kugler "Passionate Pink" glass! I
absolutely adore this color. This set would be a great compliment to
"Afterglow". The beads were made using Effetre Opal Yellow as a base
with trailing vines and Passionate Pink blossoms.

and...
This set, similar to my “Okichi” sets a couple of weeks ago, has a
Japanese feel. The black base with trailing vines and opal yellow
blossoms reminds me of a black lacquer jewelry box with mother of pearl
inlays that my grandmother owned. I named it after another Geisha – “Tsunaji”.

I am so happy with this new glass from Kugler, this shade is called
"Passionate Pink". It arrived in the mail last week and I didn't have a
chance to play with it until yesterday. I had a busy day and was only
planning to make a few test beads with it but after the first one, I
knew I was in love!
