Things are better around here. Jeff is feeling much less dizzy
today after getting a concussion Friday. His description of how he
feels is that it is somewhere between drunk and hung-over...dull
headache but a little loopy. LOL
I've got 2 new auctions to share with you...

Happy Mothers Day!
Phew...I've had an interesting last couple of days. My hubby had a
routine colonoscopy on Friday morning. The doctor came out to tell
me all went fine and it was clear. An hour later, she came
back to tell me he had fallen and hit his head. They left him
alone for a few minutes in the bathroom and he passed out. Why did
they leave someone just coming out of anesthesia alone? They
called an ambulance to take him to the hospital for a cat scan.
The scan showed swelling so he has a concussion. We had to stay
overnight because every time he moved his head he would get extremely
dizzy and start to black out. We are home now and he is on bed
rest and can't be alone when he walks anywhere. Poor guy!
I had plans to have new beads ready. Jeff's parents are coming
over today so I may be able to sneak out to the studio and work a bit so
that I'll have something new tomorrow. Tomorrow will be busy with
doctors appointments so we'll see... |

Yay! I'm back up and
running! Now I get to call and fire my old host. *grumble
grumble*
Now on to the good stuff! I am having so much fun with
the "Okichi" design that I had to make a set using
CattWalk's square and rectangle Puffy Pillows. This auction started
today:

I've had a crazy busy week making beads for custom orders
and friends who I've promised them to. All the while anxiously
awaiting the arrival of the newest toy I'm testing from
CattWalk, the "Bicone
Quad". I especially love the long sleek shape of the beads created
in the two largest cavities - they would make beautiful focals but are
also slender enough to be worn comfortably on the wrist.

Well, I've been holding my tongue, trying my best to keep
a secret but now I can "let the Catt out of the bag" (pun intended) and
share with you the beads I made with the newest tool from
CattWalk: The
Bicone Roller. I love these beads!

My email is back up and the Bead Gallery works again! Hip Hip
Hooray! I have been organizing my studio for the
last 2 days. A friend helped me make a new glass rack. I'm
so happy! The glass rack is on the bottom 2 shelves and above is
where I take pictures of the beads if it isn't a sunny day. I try
to take them outside as often as possible.

My email has been down since very early Monday morning so I haven't
received any email. The server that my web site is hosted on
crashed early Monday and didn't come back up until late yesterday.
ARGH! The worst part is that the photos in my ebay auctions are
all hosted on my server so the auctions sat there with no pictures!
Anyway, the site is back up and I am waiting on another call about
the progress with fixing my email.
I hope this hasn't been an inconvenience to anyone. The bright
side is that I have been doing some cleaning and organizing in my
studio! I just found my work bench top! Wow! LOL |

Buttons and Pillows and Shields, oh my! I had fun with
all of my presses yesterday! The Shield press is a new tool I'm testing
for CattWalk and I love it! This set is a "Water Garden" in nice cool
colors and a wide assortment of shapes for your designing pleasure.

I know, we (lampworkers) always say it but DANG, this
really is my favorite set! LOL! This set of Graduated Buttons was wound
from Effetre glass; the base is periwinkle and then is encased with
medium Amethyst which gives the beads depth and makes it appear as if
the coral flowers are floating in a bowl of tropical punch. Yummmmm!
I love my new Button Press from CattWalk. The "buttons"
are sleek and smooth similar to a lentil but with just a little edge to
them. They are VERY comfortable to wear.

Hi! I think I've got a really special set in the
kiln right now. I can't wait to open it in the morning to see what
I find. Hopefully, I'll be posting the auction tomorrow or Sunday.
Also, if you'll look over to the left, you'll notice
another new button. I've added a

something there for you to look at. :-)

New Auction...This set of chunky fun bicones is in the
same design as my
Endless Summer auction that ends on Sunday 4/23, but this set is has
been shaped into a sassy bicone. The colors are bold and exciting. I
etched the beads to a soft velvety texture. I hope you like them!
